The band was asked to play a few numbers at a 100th birthday party at the New Brighton Club. The Birthday Boy had been a very keen Bandsman as a younger man and retained a keen interest in band music and the family had asked if the Band would share a few moments of this very special day welcoming the Birthday Boy to the Club venue with some suitable items. As the Birthday Boy stepped out of the lift onto the upper Club deck, the band welcomed him with a couple of rousing marches and a few traditional numbers. This was rounded off with of course, ‘Happy Birthday’
