Spring in the Rotunda Concern

Back in October the Band at the Christchurch Botanical Gardens Bandsman’s Memorial Band Rotunda  The weather turned it on and a great crowd stopped to listen, you couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon.

The Band played some of our favorites tunes and some Brass Band old standards, which covered all the bases.

Lachlan and Daniel shared the Musical Director role, providing an opportunity for them to use their musical talents both within the Band and as Conductor.

Aside from the contest, it was also the first concert for 4 of our newest members, who have all fitted in so well and are a great addition to the Band.

The Band loved being out again entertaining the wider community in this beautiful setting. We’re proud to have been able to share our love of brass band music with the community for 139 years – here’s to the next 139! 🎶

We would also like to thank the Christchurch City council for letting us use the beautiful Bandsman’s Memorial Band Rotunda, a fantastic setting for a sunny afternoon’s concert.
